Direction

I approach directing as an act of curation and world-building.

I come into the room with a strong point of view and a clear aesthetic sense. I know what I’m building.

From there, the work becomes collaborative.

I bring together performers, designers, and collaborators, and build a shared language so that we can shape the piece together. I make a clear offer, then create space to refine and sharpen the work through process.

I pay close attention to how the room functions: how decisions are made, how time is used, and how people are supported.

Because the conditions we build directly impact what is possible.

I love site specific work.

Dramaturgy

My dramaturgical work is grounded in the body.

I look at how time, space, relationship, and movement function together to create meaning.

I am interested in structure, rhythm, and clarity: how a piece unfolds, what it holds, and what it asks of an audience.

I ask questions, offer provocations, and support the work in becoming more specific, more coherent, and more alive.
