Movement Direction & Choreography

I approach movement direction and choreography as forms of physical storytelling.

I am interested in how the body holds meaning: how gesture, rhythm, and spatial relationship can reveal character, intention, and story.

My work ranges from highly structured choreography to more responsive, process-driven creation, depending on the needs of the piece.

I build movement that is grounded in the performers I’m working with. I develop a physical language that aligns with the world of the work and the people inside it. This allows the movement to feel specific, embodied, and repeatable without losing its sense of life.

I pay close attention to:

  • how movement communicates

  • how it supports or shifts the text

  • how it functions within the larger composition of the piece

In rehearsal, I offer clear material and direction.

The goal is movement that is:

  • intentional

  • integrated

  • and felt by both the performer and the audience
