A Note About Granola Bars and Fueling Our Dancers
No one does their best work running on empty.
At LPD, we keep nut-free granola bars on hand for dancers who have forgotten a snack or need an extra bit of nourishment during class.
We believe in destigmatizing snacking for dancers. Bodies that move need fuel.
We want our students to learn to prioritize nourishment, self-awareness, and self-care.
This year, we’ve noticed a significant increase in how often these snacks are needed. In the 2024–2025 season, we averaged approximately 15–25 granola bars per week. This season, we’re using closer to 55–70 per week. While part of that increase reflects our studio growth, we also recognize that broader economic pressures are affecting many families.
If you happen to have extra nut-free granola bars and would like to contribute to our studio supply, we would gratefully accept donations.
