Present Text
Present Text is my approach to classical and public-domain text.
Text is an invitation. Rather than searching for a fixed meaning or attempting to recover an author's original intention, I am interested in what happens when these people encounter this text, in this room, at this moment in time.
I approach classical texts as work that can continue to reveal something about our humanity precisely because it can withstand being questioned, cut, embodied, and made present again.
