Our Approach
The recital is a celebration of the work our dancers have done throughout the season.
LPD recitals stand out for their professionalism, thoughtful planning, and dancer-focused approach.
We pride ourselves on transparent communication with families, ensuring everyone feels informed and prepared.
Our Costume Bank reduces costs and waste and makes recital participation more accessible.
Additionally, the recital experience is designed with a short run time, keeping it enjoyable for both performers and audiences.
From polished performances to a smooth backstage experience, LPD recitals celebrate each dancer’s growth in an inclusive and efficient way.

Staging Rehearsal: Friday, May 15
Dress Rehearsal & Performance: Saturday, May 16
All dancers are expected to participate in both rehearsals and the performance.
What to Expect
The recital brings together all classes across the studio, from our youngest dancers to our most advanced for a 90 minute performance.
For some dancers, this is their first time on stage. For others, it’s an opportunity to deepen their performance quality and independence.
The focus is on:
Building confidence
Developing stage awareness
Working as a group
Experiencing a professioanl process
Theatre Guidelines
To keep the environment focused and running smoothly, we ask that all families follow these guidelines:
No parents/guardians backstage
No photos or videos during the performance
Costumes remain at the theatre for Level 1+ dancers
Water is encouraged; only simple, non-messy snacks permitted
Please follow all rehearsal and arrival times closely
Flowers
While not required, it is a long-standing recital tradition to give flowers to dancers at the end of the performance.
We’re thrilled to partner with Teresa James Florals again this year for recital bouquets.
You can order your bouquet online in advance, and it will be delivered directly to the Holy Heart Theatre lobby for pickup before the show.
