Hair & Makeup

Our Approach

Our goal is a clean, consistent look that supports dancers on stage.

Stage lighting can wash out facial features. Makeup helps restore those features so expressions are visible and creates a unified look across the stage.

LPD’s standard is a neutral eye, black liner, and a berry lip.

A berry lip is preferred (even though red is Miss Lynn’s personal favourite) because it is universally flattering and complements all costume colours.

A Note on Eyeliner

Hair

Our Approach

LPD’s go-to style is a centre-part low bun.

It is simple, timeless, and works across dance styles, hair lengths, and textures.

Expectations

  • Long hair: Centre-part low bun

  • Short hair: Please consult with your teacher for a similar, secure style

If a centre-part low bun is not achievable, please speak with your teacher. We’re happy to help find an appropriate alternative.
